The Superbrands organisation, the global independent authority on branding, has announced that 1Job.co.uk, is to join an elite group of brands awarded eSuperbrand status. 1Job.co.uk is a vertical search engine designed to help job hunters locate vacancies advertised on the internet.

1Job.co.uk was judged an award winning site last week by the independently judged eSuperbrands Council that consists of leading individuals who are well qualified to judge the nationís strongest ebrands.

The jobs dedicated, vertical search engine links job hunters directly to nearly two hundred thousand jobs in the UK and Ireland each day. The site claims to provide the ability to locate a suitable vacancy in less than one minute and has been described by some of its users as being ìlike Google for jobsî.

Major job boards and other vacancy advertisers have benefited from increased job seeker traffic being sent from the jobs search engine directly to their job adverts and CV registration pages.

Vacancy details are automatically collected from these job advertisers websites every few days, and summaries of all their jobs are displayed on the 1Job.co.uk job search engine. Job hunters click on the summaries and are taken directly to the vacancy on the job advertisers site. These referral click thrus are charged on a low cost performance pay-per-click basis.

Julian Felstead, Sales Director of 1Job.co.uk said ìThis is a fantastic accolade to receive from Superbrands and the Brand Council. We must be the newest, or one of the newest brands, ever to receive this awardî.

Other eSuperbrand websites that are receiving this award include: Google, Yahoo, BBC, eBay, Amazon, Yell, 192.com, TimesOnline, Guardian, B&Q, Jobsite, Monster, TotalJobs, LaRedoute, Sainsburyís, Topshop, Nintendo, Interflora, Direct Line, Littlewoods, myVillage, Nectar, AutoTrader, Multimap, Halifax, Tiscali, Expedia, Rightmove, Boys Stuff, Maxim.
