Head Resourcing makes its latest signing

Head Resourcing has secured the signing of a former Hearts football player to its expanding Human Resources and Procurement division

Head Resourcing, one of Scotlandís leading recruitment companies, has secured the signing of a former Hearts football player to its expanding Human Resources and Procurement division.

Alongside his footballing career, Neil also carved out a successful corporate career, working for the Royal Bank of Scotland and Standard Life, primarily within their HR and Sales divisions.

During the early establishment of Standard Life Bank, Neil had key responsibility for the recruitment of all staff.

Jane Paul, the manager of HR recruitment at Head Resourcing commented:

îNeil will be an invaluable asset to the Head Resourcing HR and Procurement team, enabling us to demonstrate a strong commitment to a broad spectrum of clients. Neilís background working for large corporate organisations augurs well for the development of the division.î

Discussing his new appointment, Neil Irvine added,

ìAn opportunity to join a fast growing, professional and dynamic company like Head Resourcing was one not to be missed. The company is highly respected in its field and I see this move as one which will play to my strengths. We will provide our clients and candidates with an excellent level of service to enable us to meet our objective of being number one when it comes to HR and Procurement recruitment, an objective which we are well on our way to achievingî.

Neil was part of the Hearts squad that just missed out on premier league glory 20 years ago, when they lost the title to Celtic on the final day of the season. His football journey then took him to Meadowbank Thistle, Cowdenbeath, Montrose, Forfar Athletic and Berwick Rangers, before joining the junior league ranks with Spartans and Newtongrange Star. Outside of work, he is now player/coach for Edinburgh University Football Club.
