Building Resilience in Organisations Event

Window of opportunity to learn about stress in the workplace and how to avoid it

Building resilience into work- and life-stress will be the subject of a Master Class run by ConsultingTools next month at the Window in Islington, London. The event will provide an opportunity for individuals to help gain insight and manage daily work/life stress personally and for others. It is ideally suited for those working in organisationsí HR or Health and Safety areas and also for coaches and consultants, who can apply these techniques within their client assignments.

The session will be led by Dr Kenneth Nowack, a licensed psychologist and highly experienced practitioner, on a rare visit from the United States. Dr Nowack has over twenty years broad experience in the industry in both public and private sectors and is published extensively in the areas of health psychology, occupational stress and job ìburn-outî.

The Master Class will feature:

- Understanding the relationship between stress, productivity and well-being

- Identifying and personally recognising sources of work and life stress

- A variety of cognitive, affective and behavioural, stress and health management coping techniques

- Building greater skills in managing daily work and life stress

- Identifying stress and health risks using StressScan

The class will cover why some employees stay healthy in the face of work, family and life challenges and remain free from job ìburn-outî, depression and physical illness. Delegates will also be exposed to ìStressScanî, a personal stress and health assessment used in executive and lifestyle coaching programmes.

With awareness of stress at work rising fast, this promises to be a popular event, with BUPA, The Carphone Warehouse, The Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Which? among those already registered to attend.

The Master Class will be held on 26th April 2006, between 09.30-12.30 at the Window, Windsor Street, Islington, London, N1. The event is free and places are still available but advance registration is essential. To book a place, delegates are requested to either telephone Kyra Jones at ConsultingTools on: 0845-3-700-235 or email info@consultingtools.com
