PSL wins award for online innovation

Assessment specialist PSL has won the 2006 Onrec Award for best technical innovation in online recruitment from a supplier. The award - which celebrates technical advances and innovation within the online recruitment industry - was presented to PSL for its online test administration system.

This is a great honour for our company, said Richard Alberg, Chief Executive of PSL. Clients are increasingly moving to online testing because it is a cost effective and convenient way to assess job applicants. However there is a considerable difference in speed, usability and efficiency between the different providers. We are delighted that the industry has recognised the merits of our system.

PSLís online test administration system is used to manage online verbal, numerical and logical reasoning tests and online personality assessments for clients such as Cadbury Schweppes, Deloitte and Lloyds TSB.

The system allows tests to be delivered as a seamless part of an online application process, fully integrated with their other recruitment software. However clients can also use PSLís technology on a standalone basis. Recruiters simply log on and input a candidateís details. Almost instantaneously that person gets an email invitation to complete the test/s. Their score is automatically sent back to the client and can be viewed in a range of formats such as grades or percentiles or as a computer-generated descriptive report. The candidates can then be sifted and selected for telephone or face-to-face first interviews.
