Strengths of TEDS Compliance Management Highlighted in Eastman Chemical Company Case Study

TEDS, Inc, originator of the integrated single-platform Workforce Effectiveness Solution and a global leader in human capital development, today released a case study highlighting the strengths of TEDS RTC Power(TM), a robust compliance management module incorporating learner Roles, Tasks and Competencies.

Eastman Chemical Company (NYSE:EMN) served as the focus of the case study, which tracks the companyís selection and use of TEDS RTC Power to automate the Health, Safety, Environmental and Security (HSES) requirements for over 7,000 employees at its headquarters in Kingsport, TN. The Eastman project team selected the TEDS competency management module because it wanted an automated solution that would significantly reduce the administrative load in the existing training system, maintain or improve the companyís superb HSES record, and meet training requirements for employees in less time. TEDS RTC Power also provided seamless integration with the TEDS Learning Management System already in place.

The case study provides a review of the project teamís decision-making sequence, its pilot study, and its success in vetting the implementation process across division and departmental lines. As a result, the sitewide rollout proceeded smoothly and enabled the company to capture high-level improvements in the first year. TEDS RTC Power helped create a single HSES role for all Kingsport employees, reduced the number of HSES training hours, significantly shortened the time needed for new hires to take the HSES training, and standardized processes for tracking and reporting. Currently, a similar initiative is being phased in at the rest of the companyís U.S. sites, with a global rollout under consideration.
