Beresford Blake Thomas (BBT), has proved its global expertise by securing a recruitment drive for Healthscope, Australia’s second largest private healthcare provider.
This will be the third project undertaken by BBT on behalf of Healthscope in the past six months, and will involve recruiting over 100 UK nurses for roles across Australia. The focus will be on specialties such as ICU, CCU, Theatre (Scrub, Circulating, Anaesthetics & Recovery), Rehabilitation, Mental Health along with some general positions.
Daniel Griggs, Director of BBT’s Global Resourcing division, said: With a global network of offices and more than a decade’s specialist international recruitment expertise, we are ideally placed to manage Healthscope’s recruitment needs.
Our Melbourne office has worked closely with Healthscope over the past two years and has developed an excellent understanding of their staffing requirements. This complements the candidate sourcing work we undertake in the UK and as a result we have already recruited over 40 nurses for them.
Healthscope, which is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, selected BBT due to the quality of its consultants and candidates alike.
Nicole Pianta Workforce Planning Manager for Healthscope comments: BBT’s recruitment consultants are of an extremely high calibre and they provide quality candidates. Their customer service is exceptional - from review and sending of CVs, to the assistance with placements, and keeping in touch with candidates and hospitals. As a result we have a strong relationship with BBT and they have proven themselves as a superior recruitment consultancy.
The range of roles and incentives on offer should prove an attractive draw for UK nurses. Some of these include a sign-on bonus upon beginning employment for experienced nurses, and a scholarship for graduate nurses. Permanent residency is also offered on a case-by-case basis along with orientation programmes.
Importantly, BBT also actively recruits overseas nurses for locum and permanent positions in the UK health care sector. Nurses from Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Eastern Europe can access the career and professional development opportunities available within the National Health Service and major private and voluntary organisations via BBT.
