Accountants working within commerce and public practice report a promising outlook for the finance employment market over the next 12 months, according to research by financial recruitment specialist ECHM.
As part of its quarterly Regional Recruitment Index, ECHM surveyed more than 460 professionals across the UK, asking a range of questions about their remuneration, working hours, attitudes towards company culture and the employment outlook for 2006. The results paint a rosy picture, revealing that the majority of accountants are satisfied with their pay and benefits, content with their work/life balance and confident about the job market over the next 12 months, with most expecting hiring levels to increase.
