The London job market continued to perform strongly in December, according to Bank of Scotlandís London Labour Market Report.
Latest data signalled that permanent and temporary staff appointments rose at robust ñ and accelerating ñ rates, underpinned by a further improvement in underlying demand for staff at employers. Meanwhile, widening skill shortages contributed to further rises in wages and salaries.
The reportís unique ëBarometerí posted its highest level in over a year and signalled a buoyant rate of improvement in London labour market conditions, with all four components of the Barometer making stronger positive contributions in December.
