The SEEK Employment Index is the first Australian indicator to measure labour market supply and compare this against labour market demand. Each monthly release includes three key indicators:
1. The SEEK Employment Index (SEEK EI), a dynamic snapshot of the labour market for jobseekers;
2. Candidate Demand, as measured by new job advertisements posted on the SEEK website; and
3. Candidate Supply, as measured by the total volume of job applications submitted to new advertisements posted on the SEEK website, and by the number of applications
received per job advertisement.
