Management consulting specialist, ConsultEast, is launching its retreat weekends for senior executives. Offering a rare opportunity to combine powerful group work with re-energising complementary therapies in an inspirational location, the weekends encourage self-discovery and meaningful change, while establishing the foundations for work-life balance.
Research from Harvard University (2005) shows that high achievers are increasingly finding the right mix of goals and skills change over time, as their visions and responsibilities grow. It is vital to review and set business goals which capture what is personally important and fulfilling as responsibilities expand.
ConsultEast partners, Rachel Paul and Suzanne Crouch, have worked on professional development programmes with high achievers in some of the UKís top companies, including Shell International. Based on personal experience, they are well aware that high achievers take a holistic approach to work and life. By balancing all areas of life, these individuals are better placed to cope with the inevitability of change.
Suzanne Crouch comments: Our executive weekend retreats cater for mind, body and soul and offer time and space so individuals can gain greater insight and control over their lives. We provide the necessary tools for participants to evaluate their professional and personal choices - as well as helping them revitalise their health through complementary therapies such as shiatsu, reflexology, Thai yoga massage and aromatherapy massage.
Partner Rachel Paul adds: Senior managers have reached their positions thanks to aptitude, skills and a strong commitment to work. At the same time, this commitment may cause internal conflicts in aligning personal, family and career goals which can, ultimately, be a precursor to íburnoutí. Our retreats give enlightened employers a chance to support their employees by helping them regain personal insight and develop control over their working lives. While the employee benefits from further organisational and personal success, the employer reaps the rewards of improved performance, motivation and staff retention.
As part of the package, ConsultEast offers a follow-up coaching session to help participants embed changes they have identified over the weekend and gives additional support in making these changes.
Six executive weekend retreats are scheduled for 2006. They are held in the impressive setting of Voewood House - a private home restored using a combination of craft and sophistication, close to the coastal Norfolk town of Holt.
Spaces on the executive weekend retreats are strictly limited and in heavy demand. The first course takes place on 2022 January, 2006, with a focus on the New Year, New Yearís resolutions and new ways of working.
