E4engineering.com and The Engineer Jobs.co.uk were launched five years ago to form the portal gateway for technology news and the latest engineering jobs in an industry that continues to develop at a rapid pace.

To establish a clear association with our 150-year-old market-leading technology news publication The Engineer, it was decided that a re-launch would be beneficial to keep up with this every changing industry. Therefore, both sites were re-launched with a re-branded service -The Engineer Online.

A redesign was necessary to increase the speed of the site and provide a faster service. We also wanted to improve the navigation to make it easier to find content that engineers are most interested in, and provide a reliable source of relevant information.

The Engineer Jobs has been re-launched with a series of new features making it even easier for our users to find the perfect job. The new site includes improved email alerting, more jobs than ever before, and an important new benefit ñ a confidential candidate profile service that allows recruiters to find the best candidates.

It only takes a few minutes for candidates to add an anonymous profile, they can choose to turn it on or off at any time, as well as exclude particular recruiters from contacting them. Inclusion on the profile database allows the candidate to be contacted about vacancies that may not even appear on the site.

Over 60,000 engineers now visit both areas of our new site each month with even more people finding us every day.
