New appointment - Steve James takes HR Helm at Hilton

Hilton UK & Ireland is pleased to announce that Steve James has been appointed as Vice President, Human Resources. Steve will take on responsibility for the Human Resources function for the 78 Hilton hotels in the UK & Ireland, ensuring that all 15,000 colleagues remain at the heart of the Hilton business strategy.

Steve joins Hilton UK & Ireland from Deloitte - the professional services firm - where he held the position of HR Partner for the UK since 1992, managing a team of 160 HR professionals. Earlier positions include roles with Bovis Construction and Blue Arrow Personnel Services.

He joined Hilton on the 1 February 2005, and will be based at the Hilton Head Office in Watford.
