NTX Training Introduces Circus Workshops

The highly innovative and inspirational training company, NTX, has come up with a wonderful new take on the ëcorporate team-building eventí by joining up with Suffolk-based Circus Ricardo to bring the ëBig Topí to the workplace.

Describing why the Circus format is such an ideal medium for team building, NTX Director, Claire Norman said:

ìA Circus is a fun, non-hierarchical culture which encourages a variety of behaviours from total anarchy to total control. All the normal rules of corporate leadership are simply thrown out of the window, enabling individuals to surprise the rest of the team with skills and talents which no-one knew they had.î

The overall structure of the workshop is built around developing business-related knowledge skills and behaviour by working towards the delivery of a live circus performance to an audience. The Grand Finale event is likely to include acts such as juggling, unicycling, stilt walking, trapeze, mime, singing, Diabolo, plate spinning and creating musical accompaniment.

For teams of up to 20 people, the Circus Workshop can be conducted in any suitable venue with relatively high ceilings. But for larger teams (of anything up to 100 people), NTX Training will ëgo the whole hogí and erect a big top tent for a company ñ thereby giving it the chance to deliver a major theatrical performance. Both options offer companies the chance to raise funds for charity.

For each workshop, a band of Circus Artists teaches the performance skills, however the client team will take the lead in designing and delivering the ultimate Show. Throughout the workshop, experienced facilitators from NTX will help the participants to link the learning from the circus to workplace situations and business issues.

NTX comprises trainers whose motivational expertise is relied on by top teams from both the world of sport (English Rugby Team) and business (BBC and many others). NTX is also able to offer corporate training days at inspirational sporting venues such as Twickenham Stadium and Lords Cricket Ground.

NTX has already successfully conducted Circus Workshops for organisations as diverse as Marsh, The Ministry of Defence and Lacoste.

From now until 31st January 2005, NTX is running a special promotion to encourage companies to run smaller Circus Workshops over the Festive Season as an adjunct to their traditional Office Parties. After all, say NTX, Circus Workshops offer similar opportunities for fun, laughter, glamour, revealing surprises and the chance to dress up and lose inhibitions.

As a gesture of Seasonal Good Will, NTX Training is offering to conduct Circus Workshop events for up to 20 people for just 3k VAT* ñ a 20% discount on the normal price and a small investment for providing a structured, successful and fun day. Big Top events are less easy to arrange at short notice as they often require Planning Permission ñ which can take up to a month to obtain. These are priced at 12,000 VAT.
