Chris McKay the CEO of www.bluecollar.com.au said that this current survey had the most respondents of any survey that we have done to date - showing that workers still view the union movement as a viable part of their workplace - some respondents took the effort to send emails to us regarding this question & their comments made mention of the fact that they considered a lot of the current pay rates & conditions they currently enjoy is a result of union action in previous years - a lot of positive comment was also received regarding union involvement in OH&S matters in the workplace - workers saw this as being very positive - the impression we got was that workers trust unions to protect their rights & safe workplace.
Our new survey will be Do you consider your workplace to be safe.
