Guardian Newspapers Ltd (GNL) has announced a number of changes within the senior management team of the Advertising Department.
Stuart Taylor, currently Advertisement Director will take on the new role of Commercial Director. This more strategic position will allow Stuart to focus on ensuring the success of the future Guardian and Observer format changes in the advertising community. He will also lead strategic activity around the development of future revenue streams, in particular the second phase of implementation for Guardian Recruitment Solution (GRS).
Helen Bird, currently Head of Guardian Recruitment Solutions (GRS) is promoted to the role of General Manager GRS. Chris Pelekanou, currently Head of Display Advertising, and Adam Freeman, currently Head of Commercial Development for Guardian Unlimited are both promoted to the role of Deputy Advertisement Director. All three will operate at the same level of seniority and report directly to Stuart Taylor. They will continue to direct their current areas of responsibility in addition to taking on extra operational and management responsibilities from Stuart. Adam will also retain his joint report to Simon Waldman for the development of Guardian Unlimited revenues.
