Permanent staff placements and temporary staff billings rose at faster rates in October
The latest Deloitte Report on Jobs survey points to a marked expansion of the UK recruitment market in October. The number of people placed in permanent jobs by recruitment consultancies rose for the seventeenth month in a row, with the rate of growth picking up slightly from Septemberís already strong pace. Meanwhile, a seventeenth successive monthly rise was recorded in agenciesí temporary/contract staff billings. The rate of increase in temp billings remained strong, and was the fastest since July.
