UK Organisation Forges Global Links For Young Professionals

JCI UK enabling young professionals to learn leadership skills from their international peers

JCI UK, the British arm of the leadership development organisation, Junior Chamber International (JCI), is enabling young professionals to learn leadership skills from their international peers. This will take place during one of the largest multi-cultural networking events in history - the fifty-ninth JCI International World Congress, held in Fukuoka, Japan.

As one of the biggest international conventions Japan has ever seen, the Congress will provide JCI UK’s members with a wealth of opportunity to learn from the international community. Seven keynote speakers will address the Congress, including Dr Stephen Covey, co-founder / vice-chairman of the FranklinCovey Company and the author of the No.1 bestseller* The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

Twelve thousand young entrepreneurs from over 100 countries and regions will attend the keynote speeches between 21-26 November. The event is one of the most important annual events of Junior Chamber International, the umbrella body of a global network of junior chamber organisations across the world.

There are also a series of free seminars, training, personal and professional development events to attend alongside thousands of entrepreneurial peers from around the globe.

George Bush, Perez de Cuellar (former UN Secretary General) and Bob Hawke (former Australian prime minister) have all been members of Junior Chamber International. Twenty three members from the UK organisation will travel to Japan to attend the World Congress in November.
