on Monday 18th October 2004 announces the recent success of the logistics industry in recruiting its first new employee through the DfT sponsored Careers in Logistics website.
With Careers in Logistics, the UKís first logistics career focused website, users can search current vacancies and apply on-line, find information on career profiles, development and training, apprenticeships, qualifications and funding. Employers and trainers can use the site to advertise vacancies and services.
Initially funded by the Department for Transport, the website has been developed by Methods Consulting, Skills for Logistics and Jobsite. Methods Consulting, Skills for Logistics and Jobsite will take over management and development of the website on behalf of the industry later this month.
