Employers fail to exploit opportunity to make significant savings to salary costs

Huntress teams with Freelance Global to provide international candidate recruitment solutions that save employers money

Research conducted by Huntress Search, the UKís leading search and selection agency, amongst attendees at a recent seminar clearly shows that employers are still not exploiting the opportunity to save up to 10% on their contract and temporary staff salary costs.

In order to address this issue, Huntress Search has teamed with Freelance Global, an international professional employer organisation, to provide candidate recruitment solutions for UK businesses that actually save employers money. The partnership allows businesses to benefit from international candidates, without the hassles and risk related to directly employing individuals.

Carol Connolly, the Huntress director spearheading this initiative, commented: This partnership is a positive move that will enable HR departments to exploit the huge pool of international talent that is here in the UK without having to deal with the costs, hassles and risks involved.

She added: Businesses underestimate the sheer numbers involved. Approximately 40% of our contract candidates come from Australia and New Zealand alone and offer a wide range of skills from qualified accounting and finance and IT specialist services to secretarial and administrative support.

The partnership between the two companies operates very simply: Huntress provides skilled professionals whilst Freelance Global organises the work permits for the right candidates and then manages the contractorís affairs taking full risk and responsibility away from the organisation. Freelance Global will take care of all visa, PAYE and National Insurance issues. Huntress works in conjunction with Freelance Global to provide a pool of candidates for employers as well as providing temporary candidate support where needed.

This new service, Carol Connolly continued, means that Huntress is able to source high demand, low volume international candidates for business projects where candidates are contracted by Freelance Global as specialist consultants. As the employer, Freelance Global takes care of the working and legal issues and totally eliminates the many risks companies face when they employ individuals. This not only removes the hassle of monitoring work legitimacy for employers, it also means they are able to keep their permanent headcount down, as well as save the 12.8% employerís National Insurance contributions.

She concluded: There is a huge demand for international workers, particularly Antipodeans, as they have a strong work ethic and can often provide skills and knowledge lacking in UK businesses. It is great that we are able to help remove the barriers that have been deterring some employers from utilising this pool of potential candidates.
