de Poel health+care, the independent and vendor neutral expert in managing temporary workforces for the NHS and Private Health and Care sectors, has been awarded a place on the Workforce Management Services Framework Agreement by the Government’s Crown Commercial Service (CCS).
The framework agreement provides workforce management solutions to the public sector, and is estimated to be worth circa £1 billion.
The dedicated healthcare division of de Poel Managed Services Ltd, de Poel health+care, manages the relationships and supply chain between clients in the public and private sectors – including NHS Trusts, Local Government and blue-chip private healthcare organisations.
With this framework solution offered only to the NHS initially, de Poel health+care’s acceptance onto the CCS Workforce Management Services Framework means that they can cover the supply of fully managed service staff banks for any staff type, as well as temporary workforce management software, through its innovative software solution, e-tips®.
de Poel health+care’s web-based technology also enables organisations to control and forecast spend when managing non-permanent staffing requirements – delivering transparency, visibility and compliance through greater management information.
Andrew Preston, Managing Director of de Poel health+care, said: “The CCS Workforce Management Services Framework Award demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible service, by expanding our network of clients in the public healthcare arena”.
Preston added: “Creating greater efficiencies and improved service delivery across the NHS continues to dominate the news and political agendas. It is little wonder, as controlling the procurement of temporary staff can be a near impossible task, and one that some organisations simply have no control over.
“The award of this contract will allow us to support the NHS’s objectives to reduce the reliance on expensive agency staff by increasing the use of bank workers, helping to better manage the existing workforce and implement a clear, effective and cost-effective system that will produce the kind of savings that the NHS is desperately seeking.”
To date, e-tips® has processed over two billion hours, 60,000 timesheets per week, and has delivered multi-million pound savings for an extensive range of clients responsible for the provision of healthcare services to NHS patients.
