Reading based IT and engineering recruitment consultancy, Austin Fraser are happy to announce that they have been ranked 9th in ‘The Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work for’ list. This is the third consecutive year that they have been ranked, coming in 7th in 2013, 13th in 2014 and now 9th in 2015.

The Best Small Companies award is known worldwide as one of the most prestigious and sought after awards for businesses in the UK. The survey is filled out by employees to highlight the key aspects of business such as leadership and management, personal development, well-being and a corporate responsibility. Results are collated, combined and compared to produce an overall engagement score for each organisation. Organisations with the highest level of overall employee engagement, such as Austin Fraser, qualify for ‘The Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For’ list.

Simon Curtis, Managing Director (UK) at Austin Fraser said, ‘The Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For is something we’re extremely proud of here in the UK. For a company of our size and age to have been recognised at all is great, but to have been recognised for three years running shows that we’re doing a lot right and should continue to invest in the right areas.’

The Best Companies list is now in its 15th year of acknowledging excellence in a range of workplaces. Austin Fraser were told in January of our third three star accreditation but it was revealed the last night that we were ranked 9th in the UK. It is a fantastic reflection on the company’s core values and working atmosphere.

Simon also added ‘Employee wellbeing is at the top of our agenda; creating an inspiring environment with cutting edge technology allows us to stay ahead of the curve and the competition as the staffing industry evolves. This is great news for everyone here at our UK HQ’.
