‘Go straight to the head teacher’s office!’

Eteach incorporates teachers’ favourite phrases in a major new recruitment campaign

Eteach, the UK’s leading education recruitment service, is highlighting the phrases teachers use every day in the classroom in a new multi-channel campaign.

An integral part of the campaign is the introduction of humour and a friendly, engaging tone of voice that will resonate with school staff at all levels, working with the Minimart Agency.

The underlying theme is that teachers stand a better chance of getting a job through Eteach with the slogan “It’s only your time you’re wasting!...if you’re not looking for a new job with eteach”. The campaign has also created multiple messages to recruit teachers in shortage subject areas (English, maths and science), graduates and school leaders, using social media, advertising, emails and events. The fun element lifts the campaign’s aim – to raise awareness of the Eteach brand as the worldwide destination for recruiters and candidates alike.

The phrases that Eteach hopes will bring a smile to teachers’ faces as they recognise what they regularly say in the classroom include:

  • “It’s not rocket science …it’s simple to find your next job with eteach” (Science)
  • “Put your calculator away …working out your next job is easy with eteach” (Maths)
  • "’To be or not to be’ in your dream job teaching English with eteach” (English)
  • “Go straight to the head teacher’s office” (leadership)
  • “You’ll never go far if you don’t apply yourself…apply for international jobs with eteach” (international).

Eteach Marketing Director Lyndsay Westwood explained: “We wanted something different, with a friendly tone plus a large pinch of humour. We’ve already got over 850,000 registered members and hope this campaign will engage even more school staff at all levels.

“Eteach is totally committed to placing great teachers in schools, academies and colleges to ensure that pupils get the education they need, so this campaign has a very important ambition underlying the humorous approach.”
