What is your preferred way of being employed?
Permanent (67.6%)
Casual (16.2%)
Direct employer (9.5%)
Labour Hire (6.8%)
The results show clearly that bluecollar workers prefer to work in full-time roles & with a direct employer ñ this has implications for the labour hire operators in todayís skill short market in that potential employees have a wide selection of roles & types of engagements (Full time / Casual / Contract) on offer & the candidate base can afford to be very selective & choosey about the roles that are compelling ñ the winners in this area will be the operators (labour hire companies) who can set up permanent workforces (such as Skilled Engineering) ñ this is what the candidates want & in todayís market are starting to demand.
