This award was the result of a nationwide survey conducted by Watson Wyatt, one of the big international consulting firm specializing in Human Resources. The best companies included Corning, ABB, Wal-Mart, BMW, Hitachi and Olympus.
Meanwhile, the recent Hudson Report in Asia tells us that every company in China, including all the winners above, will have to maintain the pace of their hiring at maximum speed just in order to able to keep up.
According to the report (covers Mainland China, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong):
Out of the 4 countries and regions, companies in China are most positive about hiring, with 63% forecasting increased hiring.
Healthcare, consumer and media are leading the charge (overall).
All 4 countries and regions are experiencing a íWar for Talentí.
Sales staff are in the greatest demand.
Half the companies surveyed have shown a recent increase in candidates declining job offers (havenít they heard of Chinese New Year and End of Year bonuses ??)
Nearly 50% of the employers in Singapore and Hong Kong report that they are seeking overseas talent, far fewer employers in China and Japan are doing so.
A majority of companies in all 4 countries and regions report that they expect continued growth in their business.
