Quantitative research via an online survey was carried out first to gauge broad user feedback with nearly 300 agency personnel taking part. The following key findings were published in April 2008 and further substantiate whatmedia.co.ukís proposition as the platform for jobsites to market themselves to ad agencies.*

This was followed up by usability testing which involved in-depth interview sessions with eight recruitment advertising agency account personnel who were asked to carry out a range of tasks to test the siteís functionality.
Jessica Stoddart, Senior Research Executive, commented:
ìThe online survey revealed a high level of satisfaction with whatmedia.co.uk. We recommended usability testing as a way to gain a detailed understanding of the user experience offered and explore these areas in more detail. During testing, users are observed using the site and conducting typical activities. Through listening to what they say and observing their behaviour, we are able to provide a full overview of how the site is used and recommendations for how it could be enhanced.î
Website director Richard Andrews commented:
ìThe original questionnaire results were overwhelmingly positive and are already being used to reinforce our sales story to media advertisers. The individual interviews serve to both remind subscribers of our commitment to improving the site and also give us a steer on future development.î
