In todayís economy, with markets shifting and a number of relocation providers enduring cutbacks, restructuring and ownership changes, companies that maintain a mobile workforce have never been more vulnerable to escalation clauses, hidden fees and other cost amplifiers.
To help these companies gain a clearer understanding of the factors that can influence the cost of their workforce mobility programs, Weichert Relocation Resources Inc. (WRRI), one of the worldís leading global relocation companies, recently presented its latest educational web seminar, Understanding the Total Costs of Relocation.
Hosted by Jim Schneider, Senior Vice President, and Jack Craven, Director of Business Development, the seminar attracted more than 125 senior-level HR, procurement and relocation professionals to analyze the various drivers affecting program costs, better methods for tracking costs, and innovative strategies for reducing costs.
ìClients tell us that one of the things that attracted them to WRRI is that we offer true transparency -- pricing thatís clear, cohesive and easy-to-understand,î explained Jim Schneider, Senior Vice President. ìIn developing our web seminar, we wanted to take this concept of transparency to an even wider audience, bringing together HR, procurement, and other stakeholders in the workforce mobility chain to take the mystery out of relocation industry pricing, and explain how they can work with their providers to create collaborative value.î
Participants also learned ways to leverage their volume to gain additional savings, and techniques for mitigating risk in changing real estate markets.
ìWRRIís free web seminars offer a great opportunity for companies to learn how their peers are tackling the issues they face everyday, and gain the insight they need to affect change within their own organizations,î said Schneider. ìThey represent just one of the many ways we partner with companies to share knowledge, forecast trends and accelerate innovation.î
