WAP telecoms site launches - 12/2000

Specialist HR consultancy for the telecoms industry, Close Communications has modified its current service by introducing a WAP recruitment site for permanent and contract telecoms positions.

The site, www.closecom.com, which is updated throughout the day, gives details of positions available and allows users to apply on-line. Candidates who fill in their name, telephone number and the job reference number, can expect to receive a call from Close Communications within two hours.

Close Communications has launched the site in response to the increasing pressure in the telecoms industry to find qualified staff at optimum speed. Potential recruits will be able to monitor opportunities while they are on the move.

Close Communications director, Steve Rose, says The telecoms industry has an exceptionally fast moving job market, particularly as new technologies are being introduced at such a pace, and qualified candidates are at a premium. By making a constant, truly mobile link with potential candidates, the WAP intervention will speed up the recruitment process.
