Vertafore Inc acquires custom insurance solutions

Vertafore, Inc. (Vertafore), a provider of specialized software, services and information for the property and casualty insurance industry, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the assets and operations of Custom Insurance Solutions LLC (CIS) of San Antonio, Texas. CIS is a highly regarded provider of management system products to the managing general agent and wholesale brokerage markets. Under the agreement, Custom Insurance Solutions (CIS) will operate as a separate business unit of Vertafore, and Eric Winch assumes the role of President of CIS reporting directly to Euan Menzies, CEO of Vertafore.

The addition of CIS to our group will allow us to deliver new value-added products and services to our customers and to the market at large, said Menzies. Since it was founded by Eric Winch in 1996, CIS has been viewed as an innovative and high quality organization. The talents of the CIS employee team, together with their highly regarded products, will be a terrific complement to our existing agency management solutions.
