Your Applicant Tracking System (ATS), or Talent Management System (TMS) as your vendor keeps insisting on calling it, has been set up and you are ready to go.
You are free from the drudgery of full email inboxes. No more paper. No more screening each and every Resume in the hope of finding a gem in among the dross.
But what will you do with the extra time. A quick trip to Hainan Island for the weekend maybe? Maybe not.
Here are a few things that I think you will be able to do. Not necessarily all, and not necessarily now.
* Develop HR and Training Strategy
* Maintain Confidential Relationships with High Potentials
* Coach and Develop Staff
* Assess Performance
* Begin to do Succession Planning
* Identify Specific Projects that will improve HR effectiveness
* Analyse Metrics for all aspects of HR
* Build and commit to a Service Level Agreement(SLA) with each department in your company
* Manage outsourcing vendors
Itís funny, you move on from the drudgery of routine, bureacratic work only to have it replaced by more work. But the effort is worth it.
The new work has real ROI and is worth doing. Worth it for your company and worth it for you.
