Unity PR puts people first as it launches new HR Offering with Seminar

Unity PR today announces the launch of Unity People

Unity PR today announces the launch of Unity People, a dedicated division focusing on clients in the recruitment, HR and personnel space.

To mark the launch, Unity People will be running a seminar in March 2006 looking at the communications challenges facing the industry, particularly those brought about by changes in the labour market and the increasing use of outsourcing across the HR spectrum.

Unity is run by Gerry Hopkinson and Nik Done who have considerable sector experience. Over a combined 25 years in the industry, they have worked for a broad mix of relevant clients ranging from online recruitment (totaljobs.com) to high-end HR consultancy (Right Coutts) to IT recruitment (Elan), and from objective assessment (SHL) to a government department (JobCentrePlus) to HR outsourcing consultants (LogicaCMG).

The agency is currently recruiting a seasoned HR sector PR professional to head the division, which will be run by Nik Done in the interim.

Commenting on Unity People, Nik Done, co-founder, said: ìPR in this space has traditionally been about companies using the media to communicate with their key audiences. However the world has changed. These audiences are significantly more media savvy and consequently have also become immune to many traditional approaches.

ìTo create a engaging campaign that truly cuts through the ëmarketing firewallí and hits home requires the traditional boundaries of PR to be stretched to incorporate other novel methods of engagement ñ we call this approach integrated PR.î
