.

Commenting on the release of the Mayor's report on skills The London Story, Barry Francis, LSEB member and unionlearn Regional Manager said:

ìThe new report launched by the Mayor shows his commitment to raising skills levels in London so that Londoners and their families benefit, employers benefit and the economy benefits. Unions, together with unionlearn, the TUCís learning and skills organisation, are working in partnership with employers to encourage people back into learning, which increases their life chances. Through highlighting the barriers faced by BME communities, lone parents, the long-term disabled and those who are unemployed, the Mayor is helping to tackle social inequality in our capital.î
