Triple coup for NRL

NRL Ltd has just pulled off a major triple coup by winning a 5 million contract with National Grid Transco

NRL Ltd, the nationwide recruitment provider of black, blue and white collar staff, has just pulled off a major triple coup by winning a 5 million contract with National Grid Transco, poaching Group MD Mike Barber from industry rival and moving to new state-of-the-art 5000 square feet headquarters.

The contract includes the supply of more than 120 personnel, inspection equipment and more than 50 4x4 vehicles which will be used on the 196km , 1200mm natural gas pipeline from Felindre, near Swansea in west Wales to Triley in Gloucestershire. The pipeline is an important component in delivering gas from two proposed LNG re-gasification terminals in Milford Haven, Wales, which are expected to provide 20% of the UKís gas needs when completed.

The win follows the poaching of Mike Barber from an industry rival. Barber joined the company as Group Managing Director and brings with him vast experience of the technical recruitment marketplace; particularly in terms of managed services and major account management.

The prestigious new headquarters will bring all of the agencyís key support functions under one roof and will enable the directors, finance department and payroll to benefit from new cutting edge IT systems combined with the tranquillity of a parkland setting.

Mike Barber comments ìWhilst other recruitment suppliers in Cumbria have been reducing the size of their operations, NRL have seized the opportunity to grow and are now seen as the biggest and most capable technical recruitment supplier in the Sellafield area.î

The companyís current head office will become the recruitment centre for Cumbria dedicated to the Sellafield and surrounding market place.
