Overall, the majority of job sites have trended upward relative to overall rankings of other Internet sites during the past several months, according to recent Alexa rankings. 53.85% percent of job sites are showing a ranking gain and 46.15% of job sites are showing a ranking decline. The TopJobSites.com Ranking Index was down 3.12% overall, primarily reflecting substantial ranking declines in many of the smaller sites. The largest three sites (Monster, Careerbuilder and HotJobs) showed double digit ranking gains, as well as College category leader CollegeGrad.com and International (English) category leader Jobstreet.com.
Careerbuilder has seen a three-fold ranking increase during this past week as a result of their Super Bowl ads. Yet Monster continues to hold a solid ranking lead, ranked #118 among all Internet sites vs. #240 for Careerbuilder. The question will be whether or not the ranking gains (and associated traffic increases) will be sustainable for Careerbuilder.
Overall, the category leaders are: Monster.com for General Job Sites, CollegeGrad.com for College Job Sites, 6FigureJobs for Executive Job Sites, Dice.com for Niche Job Sites, LatPro for Diversity Job Sites, JobStreet.com for International (English) Job Sites and InfoJobs.net for International (non-English) Job Sites.
