The New Year has got off to a fantastic start for Management Consultancy Recruiters, with the news that Top-Consultant.comís readership has smashed through the quarter of a million mark. With the new monthly PDF publication Consulting Times to be launched within the next days, thereís thankfully good reason for recruiters to be feeling positive about hitting their ambitious recruitment targets for 2005.
With recruiting having moved up a gear in the last 9 months, the key question of late has been will candidate interest keep pace and prevent a war for talent from breaking out in the sector? Towards the end of 2004 there were increasing concerns amongst recruiters that a battle of attrition would be fought in 2005 to attract and retain the best staff - diverting managementís attention from the core challenge of growing consulting revenues and profitability. Managers at Top-Consultant determined that the best contribution they could make would be to dramatically grow the readership of high-calibre candidates using the site - so that fierce competition between recruiters would remain subdued for as long as possible.
With visitor numbers hitting 284,000 this last month, weíve added considerably to the talent pool that consultancies can reach by running their campaigns on our site. This is in large part thanks to marketing initiatives we put in place over the last months commented Tony Restell, Director at Top-Consultant.
However some of the increase is undoubtedly due to the massive increase in opportunities that the worldís leading consulting brands have been advertising on the site in recent weeks. When you look at the huge array of consulting careers being advertised on the site itís pretty conclusive evidence that these are the best recruitment conditions candidates have seen anytime in the last 5 years. That certainly helps when it comes to attracting a broader audience of candidates to the site.
Given the market conditions weíve decided the time is right to launch a new monthly publication in magazine format that consultants can print out and read on the plane or train. Consulting Times will feature exclusive interviews and data about the consulting market that readers simply cannot access anywhere else. This will be both a stimulating read for consultants whilst providing recruiters with a new means of reaching their target audience. concluded Restell.
Highlights from the latest figures include:
Visitor numbers raced past the quarter of a million mark for the first ever time, with 284,000 readers using the site in January 2005 compared to the previous record of 222,000*
