Recruitment specialist the hotgroup plc, has appointed Chris Herrmannsen as Managing Director of the Recruitment Consultancy Division, where he will be responsible for overseeing the groupís traditional recruitment companiesí strategic and tactical operations.
Chris (39) joins the hotgroup from Hudson Highland Group Inc, where he led the companyís European recruitment and human resource consulting operations as President. Hudson was formed in April 2003 when the consulting division of TMP / Monster Worldwide was de-merged. In this position Chris was responsible for 1500 staff in 16 countries and 40% of the groupís net fee income. Prior to this Chris was CEO of eResourcing for the UK & Ireland for TMP / Monster Worldwide Inc since 2000. He became President for TMPís eResourcing in Europe and Managing Partner for all TMP Worldwide operations in the UK, including Monster, in February 2002.
Chris started his career in recruitment with Hays PLC in 1989, before joining HW Group PLC, a leading UK financial recruitment group where he was originally a consultant, later becoming Group Managing Director and Executive Director following a successful flotation on the London Stock Exchange in 1998. HW Group was acquired by TMP Worldwide in 2000.
At the hotgroup Chris will lead the recruitment consultancy division, which comprises the companies Parkside Recruitment, ITN Teachers, The Buzz, Mark Education and ASA. A key focus of the role will be the continued integration of recent acquisitions, including the implementation of recruitment technologies to these businesses, to reduce time-to-hire and increase efficiencies within the recruitment process.
