The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a professional association and educator in talent management strategies, and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, known for its history of innovation in business education and research, announced today that Dr. Roch Parayre, Senior Fellow in the Mack Center for Technological Innovation and international business consultant, will share his research findings at a complimentary networking breakfast. The event will take place on Whartonís campus in Philadelphia on Tuesday, January 31, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. ET.
This is the second in HCI and Whartonís ongoing Human Capital Leadership Series for the Philadelphia business and professional community. At the session, Dr. Parayre will share the secrets of strategic decision making in uncertain conditions. Drawing on findings from the report The Future of HR - Four Scenarios for 2015, Parayre will help executives and HR practitioners plan for an uncertain future as the country evolves from an industrial to a knowledge economy.
Dr. Roch Parayre teaches executive education at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also teaches at CEDEP (at INSEAD) in France and at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, where he has received several teaching awards.
Known throughout the world for his work in business as well as education, Roch Parayre has consulted and given executive education seminars on four continents on the topics of decision-making, scenario planning, creativity, and strategy. As Director of Business Development and a scenario-planning expert with Decision Strategies International Inc., he has provided consulting services for American Airlines, MCI, Texas Instruments, Abbott Laboratories, New York Life, and Merrill Lynch, among other organizations.
Although no one can predict the future, scenario planning can help business leaders track and monitor continuities and uncertainties so they can recognize trends and be ahead of the curve, said Allan Schweyer, HCIís Executive Director. Roch Parayre, an expert in this area, understands that strategic decision making is extremely important in a constantly changing world.
