The Chartered Institute of Marketing Launches New Career Partner Scheme Website

The Chartered Institute of Marketing is launching a new microsite giving guidance on how to get into marketing for final year students

The Chartered Institute of Marketing is launching a new microsite giving guidance on how to get into marketing for final year students and recent graduates who are interested in a career in the profession.

The new web site, launched this month, features an overview of the marketing industry, advice on how to make applications that stand out, a marketing placement service and numerous other career resources. Content will continue to be added on an ongoing basis, including podcasts and competitions.

Marketing is an increasingly popular career choice for graduates. Last year 17,000 students graduated with marketing-related degrees, and a recent study by the Marketing and Sales Standard Setting Body found 510,000 people in the UK employed in marketing roles.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing offers internationally-recognised professional qualifications in marketing, including the Professional Diploma in Marketing (Level 6) and the Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (Level 7). It is also the only body able to confer Chartered Marketer status on individuals.

The new Career Partner Scheme microsite will be promoted via emails, an online and offline media campaign, a mailing campaign to the university tutor network and graduate fairs.
