work with Parity reaches finals of e-Government National Awards 2004
The Cabinet Office has improved the Fast Stream recruitment experience by working with Parity, the IT services specialist. The project has reached the finals of the e-Government National Awards 2004, based on its use of technology to join up and improve Government services.
In addition to developing the administration services that support the selection of the most suitable candidates, Parity has built a website, www.faststream.gov.uk, which allows candidates to monitor the progress of their application and maintain a dialogue with the Fast Stream helpdesk. The new candidate database supporting the website also provides timely and up to date recruitment information to the Cabinet Office for reporting purposes.
To date, over 50,000 candidates have used the Fast Stream website. Both candidate and recruiter feedback has been extremely positive. The project involved all three of Parityís core strengths - training, recruitment and business solutions.
ìWe are very pleased with the outcome of this particular project with Parity,î said Yvette Radford-Foley, Head of Fast Stream European Recruitment at the Cabinet Office. ìThe positive feedback from applicants and the efficiencies achieved prove this is a good example of how well-planned and strategic use of technology can improve the delivery of Government services.î
ìOur strength is in the breadth of skills and knowledge we have within the group,î said Neil Malpas, Operations Director of Parityís Business Solutions division. ìThe work with the Cabinet Office is an excellent example of Parityís ability to deliver a unique level of service in Business Process Management projects.î
