The 2005 Fittest Sports Stars Poll

Leisurejobs.com asked 1,000 men and 1,000 women which sports stars they would most like to work up a sweat with

Leisurejobs.com, the UKís number one fitness & leisure recruitment company, asked 1,000 men and 1,000 women which sports stars they would most like to work up a sweat with. Top of the league for ladies came Arsenal player Freddie Ljungberg, whose recent Calvin Klein advert has no doubt helped his No.1 ranking with females. Russian tennis princesses Maria Sharapova and Anna Kournikova both proved a ëhití with men. They slogged it out for top seed with Sharapova being crowned ëQueen of the Courtí, winning a third of menís votes.

And, although he is not a player, sexy Portuguese Chelsea Manager, Jose Mourinho, was the second most popular sporting man that women voted to get down and dirty with. He even beat ësex symbolí David Beckham and nice-boy Jonny Wilkinson in the race for the number 2 position.

Boy racers Jenson Button and Eddie Irvine didnít make pole position on this occasion but did still make it into the top 10. A surprise contender was ex-boxing champ Frank Bruno who received 54 votes.

Ex tennis star David Lloyd comments, ìIím not surprised the female tennis players came top of the poles as they are always perceived as the most glamorous of all female sports starsî.
