As brothers, the owners of each company had good reason to celebrate; Manpower is where TempWorks Software first launched its product a decade ago.
Gregg Dourgarian, President of TempWorks Software, and Mike Dourgarian, President of Manpower, Sacramento, formed a business relationship between their companies when Manpower began using TempWorks to streamline its staffing operation. Both companies have reaped the benefits from their long-lasting partnership. Manpower essentially helped to kick-start TempWorksí existence, while TempWorks supplied Manpower a market leading enterprise software solution. Combining the two company visions, Gregg and Mike came together to transform those visions into realities. The brothers have proudly followed in the footsteps of their father, staffing pioneer Ara Dourgarian. Ara, who passed away last year, first began applying technology solutions to staffing problems in the late 1950s. He sold his shares in an engineering firm and began concentrating his efforts in the staffing industry. Ara Dourgarianís break-through inventions include a mechanized filing and culling system for a national database of engineers and an automated typing instruction.system. In addition, Ara and his son, Gregg, wrote a precursor to the TempWorks system on one of the first micro-processing systems in the 1970s. Clearly, both brothers learned many of their great business skills from their father.
Perhaps the greatest incentive for sustaining long-lasting client relationships is the continuous benefits that both companies experience.
