GTI Media, organisers of the TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards, is delighted to announce that National Grid is the headline partner for the 2015 event, which is celebrating its 11th year as the largest and most influential recruitment awards event in Europe

GTI Media, organisers of the TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards, is delighted to announce that National Grid is the headline partner for the 2015 event, which is celebrating its 11th year as the largest and most influential recruitment awards event in Europe.

Held at Mayfair’s Grosvenor House, the TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards attracts an audience of well over a thousand recruiters, agencies, universities and professional bodies who gather each year to witness 28 awards being given to the UK’s top employers, as voted for by a huge poll of nearly 30,000 students.

Winners of the 2014 awards, which were handed out by television personality Jonathan Ross, included the NHS, Rolls-Royce, HSBC, GlaxoSmithKline and PwC. The climax of the evening was the Graduate Employer of the Year Award, won by Clifford Chance.

On 1 April 2015, all the significant players in the graduate and entry-level recruitment field will gather to recognise outstanding achievement from organisations and individuals involved in the critical business of ensuring that the UK’s top talent continues to contribute to the success of  industry, business and public services.

Steve Holliday, National Grid’s Chief Executive, says: “Too many young people are not reaching their potential whilst many organisations are struggling to find the skills they need. National Grid is proud to be headline partner for the TARGETjobs Awards 2015 that is recognising organisations that are making a real difference.”

Mike Westcott, Group Human Resources Director, says: “There’s never been a more exciting and challenging time to work in energy. Thinking about how we continue to deliver safe and sustainable gas and electricity to homes and businesses into the future, how we make use of new technology and develop our infrastructure, will need talented, innovative, creative and determined people. We recognise the important role businesses like ours have to provide and promote the wealth of opportunities and routes available to school leavers and we’re delighted to be headline partner of the TARGETjobs Awards 2015.”

Simon Rogers, Director at GTI Media, says: "We are thrilled that, as we enter the second decade of the TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards, National Grid is investing in this partnership. I am certain that it will help them further to increase their footprint in school leaver and graduate recruitment and it's great to be associated with such a prestigious employer brand. We look forward to working with National Grid to recognise the very best in graduate and entry-level recruitment."
