TalkTalk seeks new talent to support growth strategy

One of the UK’s largest voice and data providers announces strategic partnership with Futurestep to manage growing talent requirements

Futurestep, a Korn/Ferry (NYSE:KFY) company specialising in high-impact recruitment solutions has entered into a two year recruitment processing partnership with telecoms company TalkTalk. With TalkTalk having reported a strong financial performance at the half year to September 2013 and raised guidance for medium term revenue growth from 2% to 4%, Futurestep will be responsible for identifying internal and external candidates that possess critical key attributes to back its fast growing ecommerce business initiatives in the UK.

Futurestep has been appointed to support TalkTalk in its hiring efforts with an enterprise wide scope. The contract, which will begin in March 2014, will be a hybrid model covering both contracted and permanent personnel and will focus on hiring for TalkTalk’s sites in Warrington, Irlam and London. Futurestep will concentrate on sourcing external candidates whilst utilising talent already present within the business to fill roles as and when they become available.

Beyond RPO, Futurestep will also be providing a number of additional value-added services, including:

  • The integration of its best-in-class Korn/ Ferry IP (acquired through its Lominger and PDI Ninth House businesses) into the assessment process, using online screening tools to enhance the quality of hires and help build a dynamic workforce that will adapt with the changing demands of the business
  • Its innovative career development application, Forte, which will be used to accelerate the onboarding process and reduce time to contribution
  • Foresight –  Futurestep’s proprietary reporting application that provides an online, interactive dashboard of near-real-time data about important recruiting activity, across all critical operating metrics
  • A proactive sourcing strategy enabled by the creation of bespoke talent communities designed to educate and engage potential active and passive candidates

Nigel Sullivan, Group HR Director at TalkTalk commented: “We have built the UK’s largest unbundled network and now serve over 4 million consumer and business customers, making Britain better off as a result. Partnering with Futurestep will support our business strategy, bringing vital talent on board to bolster our workforce and strengthen the investment we are making in growing the company.”

Jonathan Brown, Vice President Global Solutions, at Futurestep added: “We are delighted to announce this partnership to manage TalkTalk’s UK requirement. With the war for talent in the UK telecoms market never having been fiercer; there is a fight on for the best candidates to fill sector specific roles. Our RPO team will be drawing on specialist knowledge and experience in the sector to help TalkTalk attract the very best talent, whilst enhancing its talent pipeline and nurturing the skills of existing talent, during an important growth curve for the company.”
