Taleo names Eric Herr as Chairman of the board

Taleo, the provider of on demand talent management solutions, today announced that current Taleo board member Eric B. Herr has been elected as the Chairman of the Board. Effective March 16, 2007, Mr. Herr will assume the role of Chairman of the Board from Louis Tetu, co-founder and former President and CEO of Taleo, who remains on the board. Additionally, Taleo announced that Greg Santora, the former CFO of Shopping.com and Intuit, will assume the role of Chairman of the Audit Committee vacated by Eric Herr.

Eric has been involved as a Director of Taleo for 4 years and has a very distinguished record in public companies. His thoughts on business, governance and process as Taleoís first independent Chairman of the Board will be paramount as we continue to grow and scale, said Louis Tetu, exiting Chairman of Taleo.

Mr. Herr has over 25 years of senior management experience in a variety of industries including software, media, finance, and consulting industries. Mr. Herr has held a number of senior level executive positions with industry leading organizations, most recently with Autodesk, Inc. and Sun Microsystems.

Mr. Herr most recently served as President and Chief Operation Officer of Autodesk, Inc., one of the largest PC software companies in the world. There, he was responsible for the product development, service, manufacturing, sales, education, marketing operations and operating results for the corporation. Mr. Herr also served as Chief Financial Officer while at Autodesk, during which time revenues increased nearly $600 million and profits rose sharply.

Prior to joining Autodesk, Mr. Herr served as Vice President of Finance and Planning, Worldwide Field Organization at Sun Microsystems. He also held senior executive positions at several other successful companies including strategic consulting company Michael Allen Company, McGraw-Hill Publications, and Lionel D. Edie investment counsellors.

Mr. Herr has also served on a number of non-profit organizations including national volunteer chair for programs and services for the American Red Cross; and has served on government commissions for IT strategy, shorefront protection and judicial administration. In addition, he has served as an Executive-in-Residence, teaching the capstone course for MBA students at the University of New Hampshire.
