Taleo appoints Bradford Benson EVP of R&D and chief technology officer

Former Lawson, PeopleSoft and Oracle executive brings strong development expertise in Human Resource enterprise solutions to Taleo

Louis Tetu, CEO of Taleo, a leading provider of enterprise talent management solutions for large organisations, recently announced the appointment of Bradford Benson as executive vice president of research & development and chief technology officer.
Tetu stated, ìWe are very pleased to welcome Brad to our executive team as we continue to grow and expand our operations. Brad is among the top senior executives in enterprise software development and new technologies for talent management, and brings more than 19 years of R&D, technology, engineering and global solutions development experience to Taleo from a number of leading public and private enterprise software and ERP organisations.î He added, ìWe are confident in his ability to excel in this newly defined role, where he will oversee the overall R&D, product management, technology, infrastructure, release management and internal IT operations.î

Prior to joining Taleo, Benson was Senior Vice President of Research & Development at Lawson Software in St. Paul, Minnesota. Before joining Lawson, he served as vice president of engineering at Avolent, a provider of software for Internet billing and interactive customer care. Before Avolent, Benson occupied a number of executive R&D positions at PeopleSoft, as vice president in charge of Internet applications development, financial application product development, German market based HRMS applications, and finally, all HRIS solutions development. Prior to PeopleSoft, Benson worked at Oracle where he ran engineering efforts for the US component of the companyís global HRMS products, and previously at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and GAP Inc.

Reporting directly to Benson at Taleo Corporation are Martin Morel, SVP technology; Martin Ouellet, founder and VP product management; Michel Cote, VP development; and Robert Michon, VP IT services.
