78% of candidates recently surveyed on behalf of KHA Resourcing and Development Solutions Ltd stated that the UK recruitment industry was in need of serious improvement. Only 22% of those interviewed could recall a positive experience of the industry.
The KHA Recruitment Survey results cited more feedback, better communication, updates and regular contact as some of the areas where the recruitment industry could better the service it provides to candidates. 68% stated that feedback, even if it was negative, would be an enormous benefit to receive, whilst 35% stated that a sense of urgency and pro-activity would be useful attributes for recruitment consultants.
Commenting on the findings of the survey, Roger Philby, CEO of KHA said ìThe results of this survey confirm our opinion of service levels in the industry - we know from listening to customers that their needs are simply not being met by their current recruitment providers. It is time to turn what is now proven to be a mere transactional industry into a real profession ñ a profession that has respect, integrity and absolute value.
KHA undertook the survey as part of the organisationís ongoing communications programme. The candidates who took part in the KHA Recruitment Survey were 60:40 male female split, aged from 30 to mid-40s with salaries ranging from 50,000 to 150,000.
