In a separate move, Stepstone, has entered the Austrian market. This follows last months moves into Ireland. Both these markets are rather different to Stepstoneís traditional hunting grounds of well developed leading economies such as German and the UK. A significant percentage of online recruitment in Austria, especially in the high tech arenas is often through German sites such as GULP. Interestingly, despite this, Giles Clarke, CEO of Stepstone said ìOur target is to occupy the No.1 or No.2 position in the Austrian marketî.
