Stars in their eyes!

Chris Bartlett and Martin Smith, joint MDs of City IT recruitment specialists GCS, engaged in a night out with the stars when they attended the London Film Critics Awards dinner in February.

íOur wives had a fantastic time,í said Bartlett, ëas did three of our longest serving employees and their partners. The Film Critics dinner was excellent and we were surrounded by some very eminent actors on adjacent tables, including the BAFTA winner, Helen Mirren. We also saw Timothy Spall, Emma Thompson and a favourite of mine, Leslie Phillips. Having shared the experience of the Awards, together with the stars, I am sure that our paths will cross until the restraining orders kick-in!í

Bartlett had secured the tickets for the London Film Critics Awards after he had successfully bid for them at the annual ATSCo Charity Ball held in November last year. The ball raised over 135,000 for the childrenís charity, the NSPCC.

íThe ATSCo ball was great fun,í Bartlett continued, íand, after a night of good food, fine wine and much bidding, I came away with a unique, framed ATSCo beer mat, signed by Ann Swain, and these tickets. It was great to see Ann on the night of the Critics Awards too; she works tirelessly for both ATSCo and the charities that ATSCo supports.í
