Stand out with an HR marketing award

Marketers in the HR sector have the chance to stand out from their peers and make a clear statement to clients and managers that they are the best in the business

Marketers in the HR sector have the chance to stand out from their peers and make a clear statement to clients and managers that they are the best in the business.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing are, for the first time, benchmarking excellence and rewarding achievement in marketing at a national level by introducing their íNational Marketing Excellence Awardsí.

These will recognise and reward creativity, innovation, originality and the ability to generate positive impact to an organisationís bottom line. Uniquely, they will be judged by industry rather than by the usual individual project.

We were very keen to have awards that encourage industry excellence and give the marketers that work within it the opportunity to show their credentials, said The Instituteís marketing director, Geoff Hurst.

As the leading international professional marketing body, winners will benefit from the recognition that winning a national award from The Chartered Institute of Marketing brings. It will be a sign of their marketing excellence and be a measure that marketing expertise adds to the financial bottom line.

For students itís a real advantage having an award that demonstrates to their company and others in the HR sector that they are excellent at what they do, said Geoff Hurst. But itís also good for the HR sector as it helps promote best practice and business excellence within it.

The Awards are open to both members and non-members who can demonstrate that they have made a significant contribution to their organisation. Marketing activities for all target audiences that took place between 1 May 2006 and 30 April 2007 are eligible for entry to the awards. The closing date is 29 June 2007.

The winners will be announced in September during National Marketing Awareness Week. The winners will be invited to an awards lunch at Moor Hall, The Chartered Institute of Marketingís head office, when they will be formally congratulated and presented with their award.
