Spring focuses on technology as a business enabler with cio appointment

Spring Group, technology staffing and recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) company, is accelerating its investment in new technology and business processes to support its ambitious growth plans and announces today the appointment of Bob Silverman as chief information officer. Silverman will take both strategic and operational responsibility for the IT functions across the Group.

As part of his new role, Silverman will be working on the further development of Springís end-to-end IT processes. Spring is leading the way in the recruitment sector through its investment in technology -- significantly improving client, candidate and contractor facing processes and streamlining its front and back office systems.

Silverman joins Spring from Hays plc where he was IT Director with responsibility for the deployment of a number of major projects. As well as technology and staffing industry experience at a senior level, Silverman has also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte as a chartered accountant and a consultant, where he advised businesses on both IT and business projects.
