Softscape Launches European Operations to Support Growing Global Client Base

Strategic Expansion Follows Nine Consecutive Years of Profitable Growth and Increase in European Customers

Softscape, an industry leader in web-based human capital management (HCM) and case management solutions, today announced its expansion into the EMEA market by establishing European operations, with headquarters in London, to support its growing number of international customers and address the challenges organisations face to better manage the workforce.

The company has millions of global users in 27 countries, including established clients in EMEA such as Diageo and GKN. The strategic expansion into the EMEA market follows nine successive years of profitable growth for Softscape since it was formed in 1994. Softscape’s European operations will provide localised sales, marketing, consulting, implementation, and support to best serve existing customers, and will provide a strong base for worldwide expansion.

Softscape provides web-based human capital management (HCM) solutions with a fully integrated approach that tightly links each component of the employee life cycle - from hiring, performance, compensation and learning, through to succession. In addition, Softscape offers case management solutions that enable public sector agencies to integrate web-based case management across different agencies and streamline service delivery.

Softscape’s innovative technologies offer the strongest set of people management solutions to address the acute challenges of managing staff or agency services. Softscape’s fully integrated approach to HCM offers more breadth of functionality than typical niche vendors and more feature depth than that offered by the ERP providers, making it the leading integrated HCM suite on the market today.

Softscape’s solutions, whether implemented as a full suite or as individual modules, are based on Softscape’s award-winning and patented core technology. Customers benefit from Softscape’s rapid deployment, providing a compelling alternative to costly and complex ERP solutions.

The company also recently added management consultancy services to its offering through the acquisition of an international consulting agency. The newly formed division, Abacos Group, provides customers with access to top management and organisational development strategists to develop optimal human capital management programmes. Abacos Group helps organisations to manage, change and optimise their operations more effectively through an array of services for sales leadership, customer service excellence and management development.

Dave Watkins, executive vice president and co-founder of Softscape, explained: The success we have had to date in the US and in Europe affirms that organisations recognise the power of integrating their human capital management processes to optimise their business performance. Softscape is committed to supporting our customers locally and addressing the different strategic needs of business and organisations in Europe.

Alex Bartfeld, director, EMEA, for Softscape, added: HCM is becoming increasingly important to European businesses as they continue to globalise operations. There is a great opportunity for customers to leverage our proven solutions to align people management with wider business goals, while meeting the growing number of EU initiatives and requirements surrounding the workforce.
